Martin Levermore

Professor Martin Levermore MBE DL is the founder and CEO of Medical Devices Technology International Ltd (MDTi).

Professor Martin Levermore MBE DL is the founder and CEO of Medical Devices Technology International Ltd (MDTi). He is also Chair of Medilink Midlands and Vice Chair for Nehemiah United Churches Housing Association (UCHA). Martin has over 18 years at senior board level in the Life Sciences sector and sits on the Executive Board of PIONEER as Commercial Adviser, whilst Chairing the advisory board to HDRUK.

Martin holds various positions: Interim Chair of New Roots Charity, Directorship with the Birmingham Commonwealth Association (BCA) and is an Executive Committee Member of the Greater Birmingham Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce.

Martin holds a Senior Associateship with the Royal Society of Medicine, Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment and Fellowship of the Royal Society of Arts.

Martin is a Visiting Professor for Health, Education and Life Science at Birmingham City University (BCU) and a Deputy Lieutenant for the West Midlands appointed in 2018.

Recently Martin was appointed a NED to the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust.

David Wafer

David Wafer is the Founder and MD of McIver Scott Recruitment & Chair of the Institute of Directors (IOD) in the Liverpool City Region.

David Wafer is the Founder and MD of McIver Scott Recruitment & Chair of the Institute of Directors (IOD) in the Liverpool City Region.

David has over 20 years experience of working with senior leaders to help them shape their businesses and careers, using psychometric personality profiling with both clients and candidates to maximise the “fit” and subsequent success. During this time he has won numerous awards and is an expert in building teams, strategy, and growth of businesses across a range of sectors from legal to manufacturing.

Under David’s stewardship, IoD, Liverpool City Region, has become the fastest-growing networking organisation in the North West and attracts speakers from senior politicians to business leaders – connecting, developing, and influencing the business agenda locally and nationally.

A respected business leader, host and speaker. David was also asked to join the advisory boards of the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce and Liverpool Football Club (LFC) Foundation.

David is a passionate advocate of using his platform for good and helps a range of charities to add value in the North West and beyond.

Mark Bryan

Mark Bryan is an Advisor and Business Champion within Merseyside for the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).

Mark Bryan is an Advisor and Business Champion within Merseyside for the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).

He is self-employed and has 10 years experience as a Group Managing Director and Finance Director role for a medium-sized multi branded F&B business. Before this, he worked in a variety of roles in banking within HBOS & Lloyds Banking Group.

As well as providing practical advice and solutions, at the FSB, he is responsible for supporting thousands of business owners in Merseyside.

He knows what it takes to create, run and grow a successful small business because he understands the challenges.
